Installation

Is there an installation manual?

Yes. Please read the readme.txt file included in the download (in Wolf's root folder). There is also an installation manual on this wiki.

The installation completed, but there is nothing in the database.

The front-end works but I cannot login to the admin section.

Assuming you have used the correct username and password (given to you at the end of the install screen), the problem might be with your PHP session.

General

How do I ...?

Check the end user documentation on the wiki.

How do I password protect pages?

To restrict viewing privileges for certain pages to users logged in to the backend.

To do this:

  1. Edit a page in the backend.
  2. Go to the “Settings” tab.
  3. For the “Login” option, select “required”.

How do I generate a sitemap?

Consult the Create a Sitemap “howto”.

Can I remove the "Powered by Wolf CMS" (in v. 0.5.5) or "Wolf CMS Inside" (in v. 0.6.0+) tag-line in the footer in the front-end?

Strictly speaking: yes. (please read the note below!)

However, we ask you to show your support for the Wolf CMS project by keeping intact the “Wolf CMS Inside” line in the footer.
