Congratulations everyone! I just had to work with wordpress and it made me sick. Before using wolf I though it's so easy to customize and develop new things, but after using wolf I realized how easy it should be...
Awesome work guys! Looking forward to upgrading ![]()
Hmm... the changelog link in the blog post isn't working for some reason.

You forgot to delete, or change Feedback sentence. It says "Thank you for using Wolf CMS 0.6.0 RC1 | Feedback"
It's not a big deal, just to give you a notice.

Overall look and feel is quite refreshing, and easy to manage. Roundish!
The new settings tab is great thing, now the whole "Page" page
looks cleaner. Has page_id too.
I'll find both "View" buttons, under pages and in the upper right corner very, very useful.

I think the wiki will need some updates.
Nice! Been looking forward to this, will download it when I get in from work or at lunch!
No doubt it will be brilliant if RC1 was anything to go by!
Good work!

Awww crap.. there's always something isn't there.
Oh well...
Superb :-)
BTW:
As far as I know Martijn have changed someting in database. What's about supported upgrade from 0.55 to 0.6? What needs to be added in MySQL to update?
its listed in /docs/updating.txt ![]()
Been playing with it in my lunch hour, I'm liking alot! Very good work.
Can also suggest updating the opensourcecms listing and submitting a news story? I couldn't actually find away to do so i'm guessing you have to be registered with a project to post stuff.
But yeah, would help push WolfCMS with this new release.
Already done that... it usually takes a while for them to catch up. ![]()
Way ahead of me I see, I'll keep quiet next time ![]()
Good improvements. The upgrade process isn't necessarily EASY (see Wordpress Automatic Upgrades <3), but it wasn't difficult either.
However, the new preview pane under the Page's content editor is giving me a 404 now that I set mod_rewrite to true. The front and back end of the site are all showing up fine. Any ideas on how to fix that Preview pane?
Sorry if I am asking a very silly question, but is there any information on how to upgrade to this newest version?
Had a quick look over the .zip earlier and couldn't find anything unless I am missing something? Only thing on the forum is for the RC1 release from November, which I can follow if that's the way to do it..
Superb :-)

I see that the place with information how to upgrade it is not easy to find :-)
Maybe we can add a link with the information "how to upgrade from 0.55" to DOWNLOAD section (below available files)?
This should help.
Loving Wolf as usual!
I will be upgrading tonight but am conerned about the loss of functionality due to database changes. Since I do not want to lose my database I will use the upgrade procedure in the wiki which will leave me out of any new features I believe. Is this correct?
However after the new Backup feature is enabled will that enable us to keep our old databases and get the new database upgrades too?? From what I read this seems to be true??

Maybe people should just read the readme.txt file in the root of the zip.... which says:
## Installation & Documentation
You can find all documentation including installation and upgrade instructions in the docs/ subdirectory.

You can re-use your existing DB tables for Wolf. You *need* to add the cron table and the language field as mentioned in /docs/upgrading.txt but this will not effect your DB since this release only adds stuff to your DB.
The only thing you'll be missing out on with this route is the default content (snippets, pages, layouts) from Wolf 0.6.0
The BackupRestore plugin is an initial version and should help in doing partial restores like for example restoring a specific layout. It will be expanded in the future to provide some more options like exporting only pages or only snippets. The best way to prevent data loss is always the same: make a backup of your database. ![]()
Personally I just upgraded the DB... including for this site. ![]()
